The Spelling Bee Hub (spellbeehub.com) lets you practice spelling with or without an account. This page explains how to delete some or all of your data.
Option 1 — Delete some data in the app (keep your account)
Without deleting your account, you can remove certain data yourself:
- Words Wrong list: Log in → open Words Wrong → tap Clear list.
- Active practice session: Leaving a session or completing it clears unsaved in-progress state on that device.
For other partial deletion (for example progress, stats, streaks, or custom lists only), email us using the steps below and say what you want removed.
Option 2 — Delete your entire account and associated data
- Email support@spellbeehub.com from the email address tied to your SpellBeeHub account.
- Use the subject line: Account deletion request.
- Include the account email and, if helpful, your first name as shown in the app.
- We will confirm and process your request within 30 days (usually sooner).
Parents, guardians, and schools may also email us to request deletion of a child’s or student’s information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What we delete
When you request full account deletion, we delete or de-identify personal data linked to your account, including:
| Data | Deleted on account removal? |
|---|---|
| Email, name, and login credentials | Yes |
| Practice progress, stats, streaks, achievements | Yes |
| Words Wrong list | Yes |
| Custom word lists and classroom membership | Yes |
| Daily Challenge and Multiplayer Bee records | Yes |
What we may keep
We may retain limited information when required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:
- Billing or tax records (if you had a paid subscription processed through our payment provider)
- Records needed for fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance
- Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you
Retention timing
After we verify your request, account deletion is typically completed within 30 days. Backups and logs may take additional time to roll off according to our hosting providers’ schedules.
